Molly Brulé is a folk/pop/americana singer/songwriter from Boston, MA. She puts her whole self into her writing and performances with an organic yet refined voice you need to hear to understand. She grew up in the mountainous countryside of Vermont, and when she was a teenager her family moved to Boston where she explored and embraced the city's flourishing music scene. She taught herself to play the guitar at 15 and began writing her own music while attending college in Maine as a mental escape from classwork. Molly soon began to make her music heard, and credits her confidence in performing to busking on the streets of the infamous Back Bay and making her rounds in the open mic scene.
Two years after releasing her first EP "Seasons," Molly released her second album, "The Things I Know," in December 2017, produced by Sean McLaughlin of 37' studios. Already it has been well received and her song "One Last Night" made Mix 104.1's "Best of 2017." Songs from her new album have already had airplay on numerous local stations and even played in the UK!
Music runs through the veins of generations of her family. Her father, a Berklee alumnus, encouraged his kids to take music lessons, explore new instruments, and exposed them to musicians like James Taylor, Joni Mitchell, and Fleetwood Mac. Her two sisters are also talented vocalists, frequently backing Molly up on stage creating a beautiful and sometimes haunting blend of voices.
In the past she has made it to the top five in Mix 104.1's "Open for MIXFEST" competition in 2014, sharing the stage with Nick Fradiani (American Idol Winner 2015) and Ashley Jordan. A clip of her work was also featured on a 2013 Subaru commercial. She has played at quite a few festivals including MUSIKFEST (with Lady Antebellum, The Avett Brothers, and X Ambassadors headlining), and opened up for the Boston based band The Ballroom Theives in 2016.
